Moldova launches online service to report lost or stolen identity documents
The Public Services Agency (ASP) of Moldova has launched a new digital service allowing citizens to report lost or stolen identity documents online. The procedure can be completed via the EVO mobile application or the dedicated evo.gov.md platform using a valid electronic signature.
Eligible documents for online declaration include identity cards, passports, and identity bulletins. The service is available to adults for their own documents, and legally married parents may declare lost or stolen documents for their minor children by submitting separate applications for each child.
Declaring the loss of an identity card or identity bulletin is free of charge. Reporting a lost passport requires a state fee of 50 lei, which must be paid via MPay, at a bank, post office, or terminal by 23:59 on the day of the application. Once the process is complete, the document is automatically marked as ‘Lost’ or ‘Stolen’ in the State Population Register, and the applicant receives a confirmation via email.
