Moldova parliamentary inquiry investigates Moldatsa salary irregularities

A Moldovan parliamentary inquiry committee is investigating salary irregularities at the state-owned enterprise Moldatsa. Reports indicate that approximately 40 employees received salaries exceeding the established maximum limits. Moldatsa representatives attributed these discrepancies to monthly bonuses.

During the proceedings, Committee President Dinu Plîngău highlighted a specific case involving a former employee who served as the administrator's driver and reportedly earned 63,000 lei. While interim administrator Vasile Șaramet clarified that the individual previously held a deputy department head position, the high income drew criticism.

Lawmakers also criticized the Public Property Agency (APP) for failing to provide adequate oversight of state enterprises. As a result, the committee plans to audit the President of the APP in upcoming sessions.
