Moldova places over 13,000 job seekers in work during first half of 2026

Moldova’s National Employment Agency reported that 13,013 job seekers were placed in work between January and July 2026, including 4,044 previously unemployed. Women made up 42.2% of hires; 2,436 were aged 55 or older, 227 had disabilities, 61 were returning migrants and 25 were of Roma ethnicity. The majority found jobs in collective, social and personal services (37.6%), followed by agriculture, retail and industry.
