Moldova police issue 15 emergency protection orders following 55 domestic violence reports

Moldovan police reported 55 incidents of domestic violence in a single day on September 25, 2026. In response to these reports, authorities implemented several immediate restrictive measures to protect victims and prevent the escalation of conflicts.

Law enforcement issued 15 emergency protection orders and enforced three court-issued protection orders. Additionally, police documented four violations of judicial protection orders and issued two reports regarding the non-compliance of existing restrictions. Three reports were also filed for domestic violence resulting in minor bodily harm.
