Moldova police warn of phishing scams impersonating official services

Authorities in Moldova have issued warnings regarding a series of phishing scams targeting citizens. Fraudsters are sending deceptive SMS messages and using the names of official institutions to solicit personal and banking information.

In some instances, scammers are impersonating the government service MPay. Other fraudulent messages claim to be from the Police, falsely informing individuals about alleged traffic violations and outstanding fines. Citizens are advised not to click on any links contained within these suspicious messages.
