Moldova: Prime Minister confirms VAT for cheese remains at 8%

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has stated that proposed fiscal reforms in Moldova will not impact the consumption of basic goods or increase the daily expenses of citizens. He emphasized that essential products are protected under the new regulations.

Specifically, Tofan confirmed that Moldovan cheese will maintain a VAT rate of 8%. The government's objective is to design modifications that ensure essential needs remain affordable for the population.
