Two brothers drown in Romania's River Moldova; 6‑year‑old sister rescued

On 26 July 2026, two brothers aged 12 and 15 were swept away and drowned in the River Moldova near the Horia bridge in Neamț County, Romania. Their 6‑year‑old sister was pulled from the water by a bystander before emergency crews arrived. A 112 call at 16:35 prompted the deployment of firefighters, divers, SMURD ambulances and police.
