Moldova to host wine and classical music festivals in September 2026
Moldova will host two significant cultural events in early September 2026. The fourth edition of the ‘Vin de Autor’ (Author Wine) Festival will take place from September 4–6 at the courtyard of the National Museum of History of Moldova in Chișinău. This event focuses on small-batch wines and independent winemakers, featuring over 40 local producers such as Crama Mircești, Gogu Winery, and Domeniile Pripa. The festival includes masterclasses, guided tastings, live music, and a food court.
Simultaneously, the ninth edition of the VinOpera International Classical Music Festival will be held on September 4 at Castel Mimi in Bulboaca. This anniversary edition is dedicated to soprano Valentina Nafornița to celebrate her 15-year career. The performance will feature Ukrainian baritone Iurii Samoilov and the ‘Camerata Chișinău’ Municipal Orchestra, conducted by Cristian Spătaru. The program includes works by Puccini, Verdi, and Enescu.
