Moldova to launch emergency alerts via EVO app by year-end
Authorities in the Republic of Moldova are working to implement an emergency alert module within the EVO mobile application by the end of the year. The project is a collaborative effort between the National Crisis Management Center (CNMC) and the Electronic Government Agency (AGE).
According to Serghei Diaconu, director of the CNMC, the system will provide real-time information regarding various risk situations, such as floods, power outages, or epidemiological threats. Unlike standard notifications, this module is designed to include specific behavioral guides and instructions to help citizens understand exactly what actions to take during a crisis.
Currently, the EVO application has over 130,000 users. Officials expect that the introduction of these safety alerts will encourage increased adoption of the platform.
