Moldova to mandate new State Register of Controls in 2027

The Republic of Moldova is preparing to implement a new version of the State Register of Controls (RSC), which will become mandatory starting January 1, 2027. This electronic database is designed to centralize information regarding state inspections of economic entities, tracking who conducts the audits, the targets of the inspections, and the eventual results.

The primary goal of the updated system is to increase transparency and efficiency in both planned and unannounced inspections through digital planning and registration. A significant change for businesses involves communication: documents related to inspections will be exchanged electronically via a personal cabinet for the audited entity.

To ensure continuity, the project includes provisions for technical failures. If the digital system is temporarily unavailable, documents may be submitted on paper with recorded dates and times, to be entered into the digital register on the following business day once the system is restored.
