Moldova trains 14 young creators in credible digital content
Fourteen journalists, media students and digital content creators completed a three‑day training programme in Chișinău organised by the Independent Journalism Center (CJI) from 8‑10 July 2026. The course, titled “We learn to filter. We create digital content that inspires trust,” was supported by UNESCO through the Government of Japan.
Mariko Mori, Deputy Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Moldova, emphasised the role of digital media, stating that “digital content plays an important role in how both correct and false information circulates and forms.” Trainers Ana Sârbu and Ana Gherciu guided participants in fact‑checking, recognising disinformation, responsible platform use and storytelling techniques, urging creators to “verify information and provide the public with credible, well‑documented material.”
The programme combined theory with hands‑on practice, covering video shooting, editing, carousel creation and multimedia storytelling. Participants reported increased confidence in producing content that promotes critical thinking, information safety and responsible digital engagement.
