Moldovan local councils hold sessions in Cimișlia and Chișinău

Local government bodies in Moldova held recent sessions to address administrative and budgetary matters. In Cimișlia, the District Council approved 16 decision projects, including a review of the budget execution for the first half of 2026. The council also approved a budget increase of 1,971.5 thousand lei, with 1,700 thousand lei designated for teacher salaries in general education institutions.

In Chișinău, the Municipal Council reconvened after a two-month hiatus with nearly 50 projects on the agenda. The session was marked by political tension, as members from the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) and the Party of Socialists of Moldova traded accusations regarding the frequency of meetings and the impact of political deadlock on municipal administration.
