Moldovan mediators to elect self-administration bodies on October 13

Mediators in the Republic of Moldova are scheduled to elect their professional self-administration bodies during the first General Assembly, set for October 13. The event will facilitate the establishment of the Union of Mediators of the Republic of Moldova.

During the assembly, participants will also approve the Union's statute and a professional Code of Ethics. Justice Minister Vladislav Cojuhari stated that this assembly is vital for the future of the profession, aiming to create a responsible and professional administration system under a new legal framework.

The mediation profession in Moldova is regulated by Law no. 9/2026, which defines mediation principles, access conditions, and professional status. Prior to the assembly, drafts of the Union's statute and the Code of Ethics have been made available for debate.
