Moldovan midfielder Sergiu Perciun loaned to Serie B club Ascoli

Sergiu Perciun, a 20‑year‑old midfielder who plays for the Moldova national team, has been sent on loan from Torino to Italian Serie B side Ascoli. Perciun joined Torino in 2022, progressing through the U17 squad to the Primavera team and making five Serie A appearances. The loan deal includes a clause that would require Ascoli to pay €1.5 million at the end of the season if they wish to make the transfer permanent. He holds both Moldovan and Romanian citizenship; although initially eligible for Romania, he chose to represent Moldova at senior level.
