Moldovan national sports teams achieve major milestones

Moldovan national sports teams have achieved notable success and international engagement. President Maia Sandu met with the country's national rugby teams to celebrate their recent accomplishments. The women's rugby team secured its first European championship title, while the men's team finished as runners-up for the third consecutive year.

In football, Ghenadie Pușca, coach of the Moldova national women's football team, attended the 5th UEFA Conference for Women's National Team Coaches and Technical Directors in Zürich. The event focused on the development of women's football and tactical trends. Following the conference, the national team prepared for friendly matches in Georgia scheduled for late October 2025.
