Moldovan Parliament approves tax exemptions for musical instruments
The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova has adopted a law providing tax and customs exemptions to facilitate the import of 24 string instruments for the National Chamber Orchestra. The acquisition, totaling 324,000 euros, includes 15 violins, four violas, four cellos, and one double bass.
These measures are expected to save approximately 54,000 euros in import costs. The instruments, purchased by the public institution ‘Sala cu Orgă’, will form the basis of a new national collection of musical instruments in Moldova, intended to support professional artistic activities and ensure high standards for the orchestra.
