Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan pledges IT support and visits Romania

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan met with members of the Moldova Innovation Technology Park council to outline priorities for the country’s IT sector. He emphasized the industry’s contribution to attracting investment, innovation and economic growth, and pledged government measures to keep the investment climate competitive.

To bolster bilateral cooperation, Tofan made his first official visit to Romania, meeting President Nicușor Dan and interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan at the Cotroceni and Victoria Palaces. The talks focused on accelerating transport and energy projects, regional security amid Russia’s war in Ukraine, and Romania’s support for Moldova’s EU accession process.
