Moldatsa employees placed in preventive detention over service‑abuse case

Two employees of the state-owned enterprise Moldatsa were placed in preventive detention for 30 days, while a third was ordered to remain under house arrest for the same period. The Chișinău Court of Ciocana fully accepted the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s request for the two detainees and partially accepted it for the third. The suspects – the chief accountant, the deputy head of the Administrative Directorate and the deputy head of the Aeronautical Security Department – are accused of causing a massive loss to Moldatsa through irregular management of assets, resources and public procurement.

The investigation, conducted by the National Anticorruption Centre, alleges that the alleged misconduct resulted in a “particularly large” financial damage to the state company. The court decisions constitute the latest preventive measures in the ongoing service‑abuse file against the three Moldatsa staff members.
