Moldova's Diaspora Days 2026 Launch Books by Local Authors

The tenth edition of Zilele Diasporei (Diaspora Days) opened on 3 August 2026 at the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. The week‑long cultural programme features a book‑launch segment and a painting exhibition.

Three Moldovan writers living abroad presented new titles. Dina Vrâncean, resident in France for over a decade, released *O vacanță la Lipnic*, reflecting on family roots and traditions. Tamara Șchiopu, based in the United Kingdom, unveiled *My Vegan Farm Food*, a mix of history, practical advice and recipes from her eco‑farm. Iurie Cojocaru, also in the UK, introduced his third work, *Lumea în care am trăit*, celebrating love of books and storytelling. The exhibition includes graphic works by Olga Chilat.

The event, themed “Oriunde am fi, Moldova ne unește!” (“Wherever we are, Moldova unites us!”), will continue throughout August, promoting reading, art and the cultural ties of the Moldovan diaspora.
