Moldova's eRețeta compensates over 170,000 patients with 118 million lei in June

In June 2026, Moldova's National Health Insurance Company transferred about 118 million lei to contracted pharmacies to cover medicines and medical devices prescribed through the electronic prescription system eRețeta. More than 170,000 beneficiaries received compensated treatments, with an average cost of 689 lei per person.

The largest share of spending, roughly 54 million lei, went to cardiovascular disease treatments for about 126,000 patients. Endocrine, nutrition and metabolism disorders received about 40 million lei, benefiting over 76,000 people. The most expensive individual therapy was for epidermolysis bullosa, costing an average of 1,221 lei per patient. Over 17,000 people received compensated medical devices, with allocations exceeding 7 million lei.
