Moldova's Stefan cel Mare Police Academy Opens 275 Study Places

The Stefan cel Mare Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moldova will admit 275 new students this year, of which 175 are funded by the state. Applicants must have no criminal record and provide a health certificate confirming physical and mental fitness.

The academy offers three study tracks – Law, Public Order and Security, and Border Security – with the Law program lasting four years and the other two lasting three years. Training combines classroom instruction with practical work in modern forensic laboratories, including dactyloscopy, grafoscopy and traceology, as described by rector Dinu Ostavciuc and vice‑rector Constantin Rusnac.

Students admitted on a budget receive free accommodation, meals and uniforms, and first‑year cadets are required to complete a year of military service.
