MOLDOX International Documentary Film Festival returns to Chișinău

The 11th edition of the MOLDOX International Documentary Film Festival will take place in Chișinău from November 25 to 29 at Cineplex Loteanu. Centered on the theme “Coexist?”, the festival will feature approximately 50 documentary films addressing human rights, the environment, social justice, and contemporary global challenges.

The program includes international award-winning films from festivals such as Sundance and San Sebastian, as well as Oscar-winning productions. For the first time, the festival will host a cinematic retrospective dedicated to the legendary French director Agnès Varda.

In addition to screenings, the event will feature the “Green Vine” national competition for Moldovan and co-produced films, the PITCH MOLDOX Lab for documentary project development, professional workshops, and photography exhibitions. International films will compete for the Audience Award and the AMTAP Students Award, decided by a jury from the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts.
