Molfetta councilor demands action on waterfront lighting safety

In Molfetta, municipal councilor Mariangela Azzollini has criticized the local administration following a request from a civic committee to verify the stability of public lighting supports on the Marcantonio Colonna waterfront. The request follows the collapse of a light pole in the area.

Azzollini highlighted a shift in political dynamics, noting that several political forces and individuals who previously supported the committee’s initiatives are now part of the Minervini administration. Specifically, she pointed out that Ezio Mazzola, who previously advocated for the committee, now serves as a municipal assessor with responsibilities covering infrastructure, urban furniture, and maintenance. Azzollini argued that since these individuals now hold administrative power, the responsibility for addressing such safety concerns lies with the current administration rather than just civic monitoring.
