Molfetta: Investigation into former Mayor Minervini dismissed

An investigation into former Molfetta Mayor Tommaso Minervini and 18 others has been dismissed by a judge at the Court of Trani. The inquiry, which began in 2020, examined allegations of bid rigging related to several public works projects, including the redevelopment of Piazza Moro, works at a former cement factory, and environmental monitoring for a new port.

The judge, Marina Chiddo, accepted the request for dismissal from the Public Prosecutor's Office. The ruling noted that Minervini's position was significantly diminished following investigations and interrogations, suggesting his actions were driven by public interest in completing works quickly rather than an intent to illegally influence the bidding process.
