Murcia police arrest man after woman is fatally stabbed

A man has been arrested following the fatal stabbing of a 45-year-old woman in the La Fama neighborhood of Murcia. The incident occurred on Monday morning in Santa Rita Street after a neighbor alerted emergency services to screams coming from a residence.

National Police and local authorities cordoned off the area to allow forensic teams to collect evidence. While the exact relationship between the victim and the suspect is still under investigation, police are working to reconstruct the sequence of events. Witnesses noted the victim was a well-known local resident.

In separate traffic incidents across Spain, several injuries were reported. In Molina de Segura, a head-on collision on the N-301A left two people injured, while a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Espinardo sent an 18-year-old to the hospital. In Auñón, a multi-vehicle crash involving three cars resulted in five injuries, including one person in serious condition.
