Molina de Segura to develop 144-space parking lot in San Roque
The municipality of Molina de Segura will transform a plot of land on Carmen Puche Meseguer Street in the San Roque neighborhood into a formal parking area. The project aims to provide a deterrent parking solution for residents and visitors of the Castillo and San Roque areas, particularly those accessing the San Roque Health Center.
The local government opened a tender with a budget of nearly 150,000 euros to improve the site, which currently suffers from dirt, potholes, and spontaneous vegetation. The contract was awarded to the Murcian company JT Obras Públicas y Servicios for 110,957 euros, including taxes.
Once the contract is formalized, the company will have five months to complete the works. The project includes 144 parking spaces for passenger vehicles, three of which are reserved for people with reduced mobility. The construction will involve cleaning, clearing vegetation, minor demolitions, soil compaction, and paving.
