Salou and Other Catalan Towns Host Summer Festivals

Salou’s summer highlight, the Nits Daurades, featured fireworks, a procession of the Virgin of Santa Maria del Mar, music and magic, and was promoted as a showcase for local talent. Mayor Pere Granados noted the town’s strong tourist performance, ranking seventh among Spain’s most‑searched destinations and maintaining high occupancy for August.

In Lleida’s Bordeta neighbourhood, the traditional Festa Major continued despite a decline in attendance, with a new paid entry for the Saturday night fireworks that sparked debate over accessibility.

Gràcia’s Vallcarca district scheduled its Festa Major for 3‑10 September 2026, offering a varied programme of concerts, workshops, sports tournaments and cultural activities for all ages.

Platja d’Aro announced its Festa Major from 12‑16 August 2026, planning around 50 mostly free outdoor events, including concerts, folk dances, sports demonstrations and family‑friendly games, supported by the municipal council and local organisations.
