Molière, l'Opéra Urbain musical to perform in Romania

The French musical “Molière, l'Opéra Urbain” is scheduled to perform at Romexpo in Romania from October 22 to 24. Created by Dov Attia and directed by Ladislas Chollat, the production tells the story of the famous French dramatist through a blend of classical theatre and contemporary aesthetics.

Described as an “urban opera,” the show integrates modern music, video projections, and a scenography by Emmanuelle Favre that combines 17th-century elements like chandeliers and monumental curtains with modern architectural features. The production, which won awards for best original musical in France, features a unique costume design by Jean-Daniel Vuillermoz that pairs baroque wigs and clothing with modern sneakers.
