Molise Geologists Order challenges Ripam hiring competition

The Geologists Order of Molise is calling for a rectification of the Ripam competition, which seeks to hire 882 technical specialists for public administrations in Southern Italy. The Order argues that the exclusion of graduates in Geological Sciences contradicts the competition's own requirements, which include tasks such as territorial planning, seismic risk mitigation, and combating hydrogeological instability.

According to the Order, while the Department for Cohesion Policies suggests that the selection of eligible degrees was based on the needs of local entities, this does not justify the exclusion of relevant academic backgrounds. Two parliamentary inquiries have been submitted to the Italian Senate regarding the matter: one requesting a correction of the call for applications and another focusing on the administrative criteria used by the Commission.
