MoliseOPENtur to launch accessible mountain tourism initiative in Campobasso

The MoliseOPENtur thematic laboratory is scheduled for October 5, 2026, at the Samnium Innovation Hub in Campobasso. This initiative focuses on social and accessible tourism, the development of internal areas, and the enhancement of the Molise mountain region.

Part of the Regional Tourism General Assembly, the project is funded by the Ministry of Tourism through the ‘Montagna Italia’ measure of the National Single Tourism Fund. Promoted by the ASSeL cooperative, the initiative involves 49 municipalities across the provinces of Campobasso and Isernia. The goal is to improve the quality of mountain tourism by creating new itineraries, packages, and experiences to be promoted via a dedicated portal.

The event will include institutional greetings, the presentation of the MoliseOPENtur project, and discussions on regional tourism policies, including the new Molisana Experiential Tourism Grant and the role of the regional Film Commission. A participatory workshop will also feature a SWOT analysis to evaluate the territory's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks.
