Mollerussa to host 11th edition of Ànima solidarity awards

The city of Mollerussa will host the eleventh edition of the Reconeixements Ànima on November 13. The awards, which recognize commitment to solidarity and cooperation, will be presented during the 17th Vetllada Solidària Ángel Olaran at Restaurant Resquitx.

The jury is chaired by the Mayor of Mollerussa, Marc Solsona, and includes Antoni Reig, president of the Centre d’Iniciatives Solidàries Ángel Olaran; Andrea Costafreda, Generalitat de Catalunya's Director General of Development Cooperation; international cooperation expert Manel Vila; and M. Àngels Balsells, the new rector of the University of Lleida.

Additionally, local social, cultural, and sports entities are encouraged to submit candidacies for the Ànima d’Honor Àngel Pujol awards until October 4. These honors pay tribute to Àngel Pujol i Gorné, the founder of the Centre d’Iniciatives Solidàries and a benefactor of the missionary work of Ángel Olaran in Ethiopia.
