Mombaroccio Mayor defends stance amid water crisis dispute

Emanuele Petrucci, the Mayor of Mombaroccio, has issued a formal rebuttal against accusations of ‘instrumentalizing’ the severe water crisis experienced during the August holidays. Petrucci addressed criticisms leveled by the Mayor of Pesaro and the President of MMS, Ceriscioli.

Petrucci argued that the water crisis validates his long-standing recommendation that MMS profits should be reinvested into the company for improved maintenance and infrastructure. He also raised concerns regarding the governance of MMS, a majority-publicly owned company, noting that representatives from smaller municipalities and the province have not been effectively integrated or have been appointed irregularly.

In his statement, Petrucci called for accountability from MMS regarding its failures to serve citizens, businesses, and local hospitality workers during the crisis, and urged Ceriscioli to address the company's performance rather than focusing on political accusations.
