World Breastfeeding Week 2026: Campaigns Support Nursing Mothers

World Breastfeeding Week runs from August 1‑7 2026 as part of the International Breastfeeding Month. Organisers highlight that breastfeeding often entails physical, mental and financial challenges, and that many families lack adequate professional or community support.

Momcozy launched the “Breathe & Breastfeed” campaign, offering discounts throughout August and promoting its M5 Smart milk pump designed for discreet, portable use at home or work. The company cited a Kantar‑commissioned online survey of 1,000 German mothers showing a sharp decline in breastfeeding rates after the sixth month, underscoring the need for sustained assistance beyond the early postpartum period.

Philips Avent joined the effort with a promotion of up to 20 % off selected pumps, bottle warmers and feeding sets, emphasizing hands‑free, hands‑less solutions that help mothers balance work and caregiving. Both campaigns stress the importance of workplace accommodations, partner and family support, and access to lactation counseling under WHO and UNICEF guidance.

Overall, the initiatives aim to reduce the pressure on nursing mothers, improve continuation rates, and normalize a range of feeding choices without judgment.
