Mominul Haque doubtful for second Test against West Indies
Bangladesh batter Mominul Haque faces uncertainty regarding his availability for the second Test against West Indies, scheduled to begin in Sylhet on November 5. Haque sustained a head injury while fielding at short leg during the 78th over of the West Indies first innings in the opening Test in Dhaka.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that Haque displayed concussion symptoms following the incident and will not participate in the remainder of the current match. Jaker Ali Anik has been named as his concussion substitute for the rest of the game.
Haque must undergo a graded return-to-play programme in accordance with International Cricket Council (ICC) protocols. His participation in the upcoming second Test will depend on medical assessments and clearance.
