Momoyama Gakuin University hosts first community science event

Momoyama Gakuin University held its first community-focused science event since the establishment of its Faculty of Engineering. The “Science Lecture – A Day in STEM” event, held at the Izumi Campus, targeted elementary and junior high school students.

The program included a science show and ring airplane construction, as well as a collaborative session with the Osaka Industrial Technology Research Institute (ORIST) involving kaleidoscope making and microscope observations. The initiative aims to foster interest in science and manufacturing among local youth and support regional science education.

Following high demand that saw the first session reach capacity quickly, the university expanded the program to include a second session to accommodate more families.
