Monaco Basketball Club seeks entry into ABA League

Monaco Basketball Club has expressed interest in joining the ABA League following severe administrative and financial difficulties. The club, which has faced significant instability, was recently relegated to the French third division and will be replaced by KK Bosna in the EuroCup.

Ostoja Mijailović, president of the ABA League, stated that the club's request to join the top-tier ABA League could not be accommodated immediately because the competition format and calendar for the upcoming season have already been finalized.

Mijailović proposed that the club participate in the ABA 2 League first, with the possibility of joining the ABA 1 League next year. He expressed sympathy for the management's situation, noting that the club has contributed to European basketball despite its current struggles.
