Monaco hosts filming for Bradley Cooper's Ocean's Eleven prequel

Filming is underway in Monaco for an untitled Warner Bros. prequel to the ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ franchise, currently working under the title ‘Sandcastles’. Directed and written by Bradley Cooper, the film stars Cooper alongside Margot Robbie, portraying the parents of the character Danny Ocean.

A central plot element involves an epic heist set against the backdrop of the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix. To recreate the era, production utilized replica vintage Formula 1 cars and over 300 extras in period clothing. Filming took place between August 24 and 28 at several iconic Monaco locations, including Port Hercule, Avenue Princesse Grace, Place du Casino, Portier, and Larvotto.

The film is scheduled for release on June 25, 2027. The cast also includes Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro, Josh Gad, Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, Lauren Ridloff, and Omar Sy.
