Monaco ranked top destination in 2026 Nomad Lifestyle Index

Monaco has been named the best destination to live in according to the 2026 Nomad Lifestyle Index, achieving a score of 73.89 out of 100. The ranking, released by Nomad Capitalist, evaluated 63 destinations based on five weighted criteria: nature and climate, taxation, ease of residency, safety and freedom, and quality of life and infrastructure.

Monaco received a perfect score of 100 for quality of life and infrastructure, the only perfect score in any category this year. It also scored highly in safety and freedom (89.7) and taxation (84.0). However, the principality saw lower scores in nature and climate (44.6) and residency and access (51.1), due to strict requirements for obtaining residency and citizenship.

Andorra followed closely in second place with a score of 73.68, narrowly trailing Monaco by 0.21 points.
