Monaco Royal Family visits Les Baux-de-Provence
Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, and their 11-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, visited Les Baux-de-Provence on September 5.
The visit holds historical significance for the Monegasque royal family. Les Baux-de-Provence is part of the Grimaldi of Monaco historical sites network. Following the Treaty of Péronne in 1642, the lordship of Les Baux was elevated to a marquisate and transferred to Hercule Grimaldi. Consequently, the Monegasque heir traditionally carries the title ‘Marquis des Baux’.
During the visit, the family participated in official programs, walked through the village streets, and attended a falconry demonstration.
