Venezuela implements national healthcare and infrastructure initiatives

The Venezuelan government has launched several initiatives aimed at modernizing public health, infrastructure, and social services. Under the Plan José Gregorio Hernández, the national hospital network is expanding, with rehabilitation efforts increasing from 20 to 26 medical centers nationwide. In Caracas, efforts are focused on upgrading the Hospital Vargas and the Hospital de Coche, incorporating high-tech medical equipment and high-speed internet to support university-level medical training.

In the technological sector, the Hospital Cardiológico Infantil Latinoamericano Dr. Gilberto Rodríguez Ochoa is working to digitize clinical records and implement artificial intelligence for fetal echocardiography pre-diagnosis, following technical exchanges with China.

Social and educational developments include the inauguration of the José Antonio Abreu University of Music and a strategic alliance with the private sector to rehabilitate 20,000 homes. Additionally, regional health programs are active, such as mental health equipment deliveries in Zulia state and family planning services in Monagas.
