Monaki idol group featured on Nippon TV variety show

The rising four-member idol group Monaki was featured on the Nippon TV variety program ‘Sakusaku Himuhimu ☆Oshi no Furu Yoru☆’, where guests including Snow Man’s Daisuke Sakuma and actress Tao Tsuchiya explored the group’s unique backgrounds.

Produced by Junretsu leader Kazuyoshi Sakai, Monaki consists of members Oyone, Jin, Sakai Jr., and Kenken. The group has gained significant traction on social media, with their debut song ‘Honma ya de☆Nande ya nen☆Shiran kedo’ surpassing 1.9 billion views.

The members are noted for their diverse professional histories: Oyone is a former factory worker, Sakai Jr. is a former elite employee and first-class architect who graduated top of his class from Chiba University, and both Jin and Kenken are former actors from the Super Sentai series. The program highlighted the group’s ‘extreme’ personal histories and their signature close-proximity fan service.
