Monarch of the Glen reboot set for Channel 5 and PBS, starring Julia Brown

Channel 5 and PBS have announced a new reboot of the classic series *Monarch of the Glen*. The drama will follow London lawyer Isla Campbell, played by Julia Brown, who returns to her family’s indebted estate in the Scottish Highlands after her estranged father’s death. Filming is underway in Scotland and Northern Ireland and the series is slated to debut in 2027 on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom and on PBS in the United States.

The project is developed by Jeremy Brock, who also serves as executive producer, with Tom Vaughan directing. Ecosse Films, the original producer of the series, is handling production. The ensemble cast includes Chris Fulton as brother Alasdair, Phyllis Logan as Morag, Ewan Miller as gamekeeper Ewan, Rishi Nair as entrepreneur Daniel, John Gordon Sinclair as family lawyer Fergus, and Gordon Kennedy as stockman Angus.
