Southeast Asia blockchain funding reaches $680M in 2026

Blockchain funding in Southeast Asia has reached $680 million in 2026, more than doubling the $319 million recorded in 2025. However, this growth is characterized by a concentration of capital into fewer, larger deals rather than a broad market recovery.

According to data from Tracxn, the number of completed funding rounds has dropped to 25 this year, down from 46 in 2025 and significantly lower than the 206 rounds seen during the 2022 peak. A single transaction—a $400 million Series D round for Crypto.com backed by Citadel Securities—accounted for nearly 60% of the total regional funding.

Other notable investments include a $100 million Series D for Edena Capital and a $50 million Series A for Startale. The crypto financial services sector has emerged as the primary driver of investment, attracting $498 million across 19 rounds. Singapore remains the dominant hub, representing 82.5% of the region’s historical blockchain funding.
