Monastir: Four migrants assaulted by group of youths

Four migrants residing at a reception center in Monastir, Sardinia, were assaulted by a group of six young individuals. The victims, identified as Algerian nationals, were reportedly attacked with sticks, metal bars, and stones while walking toward the facility.

Carabinieri from the Dolianova company intervened, identifying the suspects and seizing the weapons used in the attack. The group of attackers, described as youths aged between 19 and 22, reportedly arrived in two cars and fled toward the town center after the incident. Medical personnel provided treatment to the victims for various contusions.

Preliminary investigations suggest the violence may have been triggered by a prior dispute involving alleged mockery directed at one of the local youths. Authorities have reported the incident to the Public Prosecutor's Office in Cagliari as investigations continue to determine individual responsibilities.
