Monbus secures Santiago urban transport contract after legal appeal dismissal
The Galician Public Procurement Administrative Tribunal (Tacgal) has dismissed and declared inadmissible an appeal filed by Autos Martín against the award of the Santiago urban transport contract. The contract was awarded to a temporary business union (UTE) led by Monbus.
With this legal resolution, the Santiago City Council can proceed with the contract signing as soon as possible. The contract is valued at 118.9 million euros and will span a period of 13 years. Once the agreement is signed, the winning consortium has a maximum of three months to begin operations. Local officials stated that the decision confirms the rigor of the municipal departments involved in the bidding and evaluation process.
