Moncler opens largest global flagship on New York's Fifth Avenue
Moncler has opened its largest global flagship store to date on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Located in the General Motors Building, the 2,200-square-meter, two-level boutique is designed by the Parisian studio Gilles & Boissier.
The retail space aims to blend the brand’s Alpine heritage with an urban metropolitan aesthetic, featuring elements such as Saint Williams granite, LED-integrated glass façades, and a monumental sculpture by Ugo Rondinone. The ground floor hosts the main collection, accessories, and Moncler Genius collaborations, while the second floor is dedicated to the Moncler Grenoble high-performance skiwear line.
The opening coincided with New York Fashion Week and was celebrated with a high-profile event attended by various celebrities, including Anne Hathaway, Cher, and Julia Roberts. The launch follows a citywide retrospective exhibition titled ‘New York in Moncler,’ which showcased the brand’s two-decade history in the city through large-scale photography.
