Monclova-Candela highway hit-and-run leaves two dead

The family of Esperanza Rangel Sánchez is seeking justice following a fatal hit-and-run accident on the Monclova-Candela highway in Coahuila. Rangel Sánchez, 27, and her partner were riding bicycles during the early hours of Sunday when they were struck by a vehicle.

The victims remained at the scene for several hours before being discovered around 2:00 a.m. Rangel Sánchez’s father, Martín Rangel González, has called on authorities to locate the driver, who allegedly fled the scene immediately after the collision. The family is demanding that the responsible party be held accountable for the deaths and assist with funeral expenses.
