Mondelēz International Partners with Celonis to Scale Enterprise AI

Mondelēz International has deepened its partnership with process‑mining firm Celonis to create the operational foundation for a company‑wide, AI‑driven business. Using Celonis’s platform, Mondelēz is building a living digital twin of its global operations that maps source‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash and hire‑to‑retire processes.

The collaboration has already generated about $10 million in measurable value and recovered more than $6 million within 90 days by eliminating credit‑memo leakage. Rossana Rizzotto, head of the Office of the CIDO at Mondelēz, said the goal is to develop self‑healing processes that can anticipate disruptions and allow AI agents to act autonomously across the enterprise.

The initiative is framed as vendor‑neutral infrastructure for enterprise AI rather than a single AI application, enabling Mondelēz to identify high‑ROI AI use cases, monitor downstream AI impacts, and compare the cost of human versus AI‑led workflows as it modernises its ERP systems.
