Mondial de l'Auto 2026 to feature French automotive innovations
The 2026 Mondial de l'Auto, scheduled for October 12–18 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, is expected to feature significant contributions from French automakers. Following a successful 2024 edition that drew over 500,000 visitors, the upcoming show will highlight new models and technological advancements.
French manufacturers are planning several key reveals. Alpine is expected to showcase new elements regarding its successor to the Berlinette, potentially utilizing the APP platform with a dual powertrain. Citroën is reportedly working on a modern, affordable electric version of the 2CV, aimed at a price point under 15,000 euros. Additionally, DS plans to present the Numéro 7, a family SUV available in both electric and hybrid versions.
In a new partnership, L’olivier Assurance will launch ‘En route pour le Mondial,’ a gaming competition based on Mario Kart World. This initiative marks the first time video gaming will be integrated into the salon, with qualifying rounds broadcast on Twitch and a grand final held at a dedicated stand within the event.
