Mondéjar wine denomination celebrates 30th anniversary

The Denominación de Origen (DO) Mondéjar is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of institutional and commemorative events scheduled for August 28 and 29 in Mondéjar, Spain.

The celebrations include official ceremonies, the presentation of awards to key figures in the denomination's history, and the inauguration of a commemorative exhibition. Scheduled activities also feature guided tastings, a gastronomic fair, and musical performances.

Enrique Segovia Torres, president of DO Mondéjar, noted that while it is the smallest denomination in Spain, the focus remains on quality and maintaining a unique identity. The anniversary celebrations are expected to continue throughout the year, including promotional activities in Madrid. The Diputación of Guadalajara has increased its financial support for the organization to 45,000 euros for 2026.
